Aspen have thoroughly enjoyed the Spring term and shown that they are truly enthusiastic, determined and resilient learners.
We began with becoming geographers and learning about the Polar Regions, their location, landscapes and native animals and people. This half term we have immersed ourselves in Inuit art, exploring new techniques such as stencilling and soap carving.
During Country Day and WOLF day we had to rescue trapped (LEGO) scientists from the ice as quickly as possible! We developed our outdoor learning skills, learning how to start and maintain a fire – we liked that the best!
Science and Computing has been awesome too! We have explored, programmed and debugged with Crumbles and Microbits and linked computer programming with electrical circuits and sensors.
World Book Day and National Story Telling Day showed that we have some great performers and writers! Many of the Aspen children are also being super role models for other children in school being Buddy Readers, Junior Joes and representing our school in the many sporting events that we take part in.
Well done, Aspen!
